Formation

Below is a summary of the scripture readings from this week. Take a moment to reflect upon what you read, or catch up on any chapters you may have missed. Give thanks because the Lord of the Sabbath invites you to enter into his rest.


Collect

Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all his works and sanctified a day of rest for all his creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Praying the Psalms

Psalm 106:13-27
But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold.

1 Corinthians 8

Old Testament Reading

Ezekiel 8

Then I heard him call out in a loud voice, “Bring near those who are appointed to execute judgment on the city, each with a weapon in his hand.”
