Opening Prayer

Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world may perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (BCP 215)

Scripture Reading

John 6

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

Reflection Questions

1. In the Bible passage, it says to believe in the one he has sent. Who do you think this is?

2. Why is it important that we believe in the one who was sent?

3. What does it mean to believe in Jesus? What is different about your life because you believe in Jesus? Do you pray, read your Bible? Something else?

Kid’s Catechism #2

Q: What else did God make?
A: God made all things.

Prayer of Intercession

Church Community

  • Father, please help us to have a strong faith in you. Help us to believe in your son who you sent to die on the cross for us. Help us to share about our belief with our friends and family members.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
