To build a great city for all people through a gospel movement that brings personal conversion, community formation, social justice and cultural renewal to New York City and, through it, to the world.

Hello ,

Two weeks from today is Christmas Eve! If you are like me then that will remind you how fast time ‘flies’. Since this time last year Redeemer:

a. Opened the doors of the W83 Ministry Center
b. Expanded from five worship services to eight
c. Launched the Downtown congregation

The West Side Congregation in particular has benefited from the opening of W83hosting Mom’s groups, new groups for men, women and children, and providing a home to close to 2500 adults, 300 children, and scores of youth and college students every Sunday. I regularly have conversations on Sundays with people who have ‘walked in’ from the neighborhood and are exploring Christianity. This is a truly remarkable season in the life of Redeemer.
Of course all of this takes resources, so I am writing to ask you to partner with us as we seek to meet our 2012 giving goal of $11.4M. Redeemer typically receives almost 25% of our general giving in December, and this year $2.65M needs to be received by year-end. Some of you might think that Redeemer is flush with cash, but the reality is that despite the fact that the weekly worship attendance has grown by over 20% in the last four years, overall giving has been flat and we have fewer people giving now than we did four years ago! Obviously this is an unsustainable trend and one that has already put a strain on our ability to resource the growing demands of Redeemer's ministries.
We have a unique opportunity to make the incarnation of Jesus an ever-increasing reality in our neighborhood. Thank you in advance for your generosity in making this happen. Please click here to donate now.
The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, generous inside and out, true from start to finish. – John 1:14 (The Message)

In Christ,

Rev. David Bisgrove
